Tips for Hiring a Local Conveyancing Solicitor

What Do I Need to Give My Conveyancer?

With conveyancing, what many people don’t realise is that it actually takes quite some time to complete the process. However, the other thing that a lot of people don’t seem to realise is that there are actually some things that you can do, in order to get the process over with in a shorter amount of time. One of the things that you can do is to make sure that you have everything that you need to provide your conveyancing solicitor with before you actually hire one. Here are a few of the things that you need to give your conveyancing solicitor.

Identification

One of the things that a lot of people don’t seem to realise is the fact that identification is absolutely essential for the conveyancing process. If you don’t provide your conveyancing solicitor with proper identification, then the conveyancing process will not be able to be carried out. There are a range of different types of identification that can be used. For example, a passport will do the job. However, you could also use a drivers license. Either way, it is important that you provide your conveyancing solicitor with proper identification.

Correct legal documents

If you are the one who is selling a property, then you need to make sure that you have all of the proper legal documents, in order to sell your property. For example, if you are going to be selling a property, then you are going to need to make sure that you have copies of the deeds to that property that state that you are the legal owner. Without this, the conveyancing process will not be able to be carried out. Obviously, without you being able to prove that you are the legal owner of the property, you are not going to be able to sell it.

There are plenty of other things that you will need to provide your conveyancing solicitor with as well. As long as you make sure that you have everything in order before you hire a conveyancing solicitor, then it should be fine.
