Building on the success of past editions, the 2012 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP) will be held September 30th-October 3rd, at the Disney Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida. ICIP is the premier forum for the presentation of technological advances and research results in the fields of theoretical, experimental, and applied image and video processing. ICIP-2012, the nineteenth in the series that has been held annually since 1994, will bring together leading engineers and scientists from around the world.

The Disney Coronado Springs Resort, located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, a suburb of Orlando, is part of the Walt Disney World Resort, the largest and most visited recreational area in the world. The resort covers an area of 47 square miles and includes four theme parks, two water parks, 23 on-site themed resort hotels, and a vibrant marketplace with high-end shopping, dining, and entertainment venues. Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is a Southwest-themed hotel encircling Lago Dorado-a glimmering 22-acre lake-that evokes the spirit and romance of Spanish-colonial Mexico.

Technical sessions will be held Monday, October 1 through Wednesday, October 3, and workshops and short courses will be on Sunday, September 30. The technical program will cover a vast array of image and video processing topics, including the latest breakthroughs in the following, just to name a few:

The technical program will be augmented by a series of workshops and short courses that are designed to teach and inform attendees about the latest advances in image and video processing, engineering, and applications. In addition to the technical presentations, a comprehensive social program will be provided to highlight the unique venues and attractions of the Walt Disney World Resort.
